Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding UX Lead who thrives on solving complex challenges and is energised by creating products that make life simply better. You’ll be part of an agile team, leading workshops or interviews with our senior clients to help them understand their businesses and customers more deeply and to drive innovation. At WongDoody Europe, our approach to UX is lean and user‑centred. We workshop ideas and solutions with clients and internal teams and sketch out ideas. We have a fast-paced, prototype-driven workshop approach called ‘Conversation to Creation’ (C2C) in which you’ll play a key role. We run these workshops with startup founders and clients to kick off new, transformational products and distil in weeks what others would take months for. We don’t stop at concepts and prototypes — we deliver real products to customers and iterate upon them. As a UX Lead, you will play a key role throughout this process. We embrace change and exploration; everyone at WongDoody is committed to creating the best possible product.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee a key project within the studio, ensure quality of work, support the team, and establish ways of working
  • Liaise with senior clients and stakeholders, take briefs, and challenge them when required
  • Inspire the wider team at WongDoody with your passion for the craft and knowledge of the industry
  • Create world‑class products and experiences
  • Gather business requirements, market research, and user needs, distilling them into actionable insights
  • Lead your team and clients on a journey of product creation
  • Design and communicate effectively through diagrams, sketches, designs, and prototypes
  • Work with WongDoody Europe’s leadership to help achieve company goals
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams of 2–5 people from initial sketches and prototypes through final design
  • Inspire and motivate an energetic and collaborative team
  • Manage and mentor designers, supporting their growth
  • Drive yourself and your team to create the best, most well‑crafted product
  • Work with development and QA teams to ensure the product is understood
  • Pitch work to clients and partners
  • facilitate workshops with C‑suite clients

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in leading digital teams
  • Portfolio of complex digital experiences for global brands across mobile, tablet, and web — such as large CMS sites, e‑commerce platforms, and apps
  • Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision
  • Bias for action in a fast‑paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of all disciplines required to create brilliant products — business, tech, delivery, marketing, and content
  • Proficiency in Figma, PPT, Keynote, Sketch, InVision
  • Experience with digital strategy, content strategy, and designing and executing user testing and research studies

Nice to have

  • Experience in the public sector and employee experiences
  • A sense of humour

What we offer

  • medical and dental insurance
  • a competitive pension package
  • travel insurance
  • flexible summer hours
