Job Description

As UX Lead Real Estate, you will guide a team of product designers to continuously elevate our user experience through solutions that address real customer needs while driving business outcomes. Together, you will lead the full product design process—from discovery and ideation to design, testing, and delivery—ensuring every decision is rooted in user insight and measurable impact. You will lead the UX work for one of our most strategically important verticals, Real Estate. You’ll shape its end-to-end product experience, guide and elevate your team through thoughtful critique and mentorship, and represent user-centered design in cross-functional and business discussions. While your focus is on leadership, you stay close to the craft collaborating with designers to refine ideas and ensure excellence in execution. With your strong hands-on background – you can still dive into UX/UI design, prototyping, and usability testing when needed. This is a hybrid role that combines remote work with regular presence at our Berlin-Charlottenburg office. You will report directly to the Director of User Experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and support your team across all design stages: from ideation and concept to wireframes, interaction design, and usability testing
  • Coach and develop your designers, fostering personal growth, craft excellence, and a shared design vision
  • Represent UX within your product area and ensure that user needs and design strategy shape the roadmap
  • Champion simplicity and delight in the experience of users navigating our platform
  • Leverage and evolve our Design System to ensure a cohesive, high-quality user and brand experience
  • Facilitate ideation sessions and play an active role in user research and validation

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a UX, Product, or Interaction Designer, with a strong track record of leading design in agile product teams
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop designers while adapting strategy, scope, and ways of working to balance creative ambition with delivery in times of change
  • Strength in concept and interaction design, with the ability to simplify complex systems into intuitive experiences
  • Experience in defining UX strategies, shaping roadmaps, and aligning stakeholders across Product, Business and Engineering
  • Passion for user-centered design: you plan and conduct usability tests and translate findings into actionable improvements
  • Up-to-date with modern design frameworks such as Material Design, Apple’s HIG, and web standards
  • Proficient in both German and English

What we offer

  • An attractive Base Salary
  • Participation in our Short Term Incentive plan (annual bonus)
  • Work From Anywhere: Enjoy up to 20 days a year of working from anywhere
  • A 24/7 Employee Assistance Program for you and your family
