Job Description

Capstone IT is working with a client ranked by Forbes as a "Best Place to Work" to bring on a UX Engineer who will design and build modern, user-facing web applications and digital experiences using Vue.js and Laravel. This person will develop interactive interfaces, reusable components, and scalable web applications that support marketing initiatives such as corporate websites, landing pages, and enterprise campaigns. Day to day, the engineer will work closely with UX designers and development teams to deliver accessible, performant web experiences while modernizing existing products with modern JavaScript and PHP frameworks.

Job Responsibility

  • Build user-facing web applications and interactive components using Vue.js and modern JavaScript
  • Develop backend services and application logic using Laravel (PHP)
  • Create reusable UI components and scalable front-end architecture
  • Work closely with UX designers to implement intuitive, accessible user interfaces
  • Improve and modernize legacy web products with modern frameworks and best practices
  • Support marketing and digital initiatives such as corporate websites, landing pages, and campaigns
  • Ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and development standards
  • Monitor and improve site performance, SEO, and web analytics integration
  • Deploy and support applications in cloud environments such as AWS and Tanzu Kubernetes Grid

Requirements

  • Strong experience building applications with Vue.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Backend development experience with Laravel (PHP)
  • Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and responsive web design
  • Experience implementing WCAG accessibility standards
  • Experience deploying or working within cloud environments (AWS or Kubernetes/Tanzu)

Nice to have

  • Experience with Vuex or Pinia state management
  • Experience supporting SEO and web analytics tools
  • Exposure to test automation
  • Experience working within UX or product design teams
  • Experience modernizing legacy web platforms
