Job Description

As a UX designer driving the look and feel of our software, you'll help Auvik challenge the status quo in our industry by offering simple and delightful experiences to technicians who manage network infrastructure. You'll be a product design champion, carefully nurturing the visual performance of our product with your top-notch creative and strategic design skills.

Job Responsibility

  • Work in a rapid paced, small, agile team to help define and execute UX and product design across the Auvik software platform
  • Work closely with the product management and development teams to define the user experience and ensure high quality implementation of your designs
  • Conduct user research activities to better understand workflows and personas
  • Facilitate collaborative design jams and ideation sessions
  • Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mock-ups
  • Conduct user testing and customer interviews to assess usability and overall customer experience
  • Use data, metrics, and customer feedback to guide new design-related ideas and decisions
  • Find the sweet spot between customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility
  • Maintain a consistent design system and information architecture, and keep it current with changes over time

Requirements

  • Education in UX design, or an equivalent field
  • Ability to execute a design process of research, ideation, and validation
  • Several years of UX design experience
  • Experience with user research and usability testing
  • Passion for simple and intuitive user-centred design
  • A fast learner who is comfortable working in a highly technical company
  • A critical eye for visual design
  • A great portfolio with work samples that demonstrate a diverse set of software designs
  • Highly proficient in Figma and Figma Make
  • Experience developing and maintaining reusable and scalable Asset Libraries
