We are looking for a talented UX Designer to join the Digital On-Premise Ordering product team. This is a targeted, short-term assignment focused on the evolution of self-service technology within the Quick Serve Restaurant (QSR) space. You will work alongside product managers and fellow designers to audit, conceptualize, and design the future of in-store kiosk ordering. Your work will bridge the gap between mobile ordering and the physical guest experience, ensuring a seamless journey for customers across a diverse family of restaurant brands.
Job Responsibility:
Market & Internal Audit: Rapidly absorb existing competitive analysis of the US QSR kiosk market and familiarize yourself with current internal kiosk capabilities and brand standards
Journey Mapping: Map the in-store guest ordering experience, identifying critical friction points and distinguishing the unique needs of on-premise kiosk users versus off-premise mobile users
UX Evaluation: Assess the usability and aesthetic quality of current kiosk interfaces
collaborate with stakeholders to propose meaningful enhancements, features, and UX fixes
Interaction Design: Design the "next generation" kiosk experience, producing high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes for key flows, including menu browsing, reward redemption, and payment processing
Design System Integration: Adhere to established design systems for mobile and small-screen products while extending or creating new components specifically optimized for large-scale kiosk hardware
Requirements:
Experience in Retail/QSR: Prior experience designing for physical hardware interfaces (Kiosks, POS, or large-screen touch displays) is highly preferred
Systems Thinking: Ability to scale design elements from small screens (mobile) to large screens (kiosks) while maintaining brand consistency
Prototyping Excellence: Mastery of design tools (such as Figma) to create complex, logic-based prototypes for user testing and stakeholder buy-in
Strategic Mapping: Strong ability to visualize customer journeys that involve both digital interfaces and physical environments
Collaborative Mindset: Comfortable working in a fast-paced product squad and presenting design rationale to product management leadership
