KP Staffing is now hiring a utility technician for a company in Fort Worth, TX! This company is a leading manufacturer of commercial ASME water heaters. Their systems are installed nationwide in universities, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, apartments, correctional facilities, and military barracks. If you enjoy hands-on work in a manufacturing environment, this is a great opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform final assembly tasks, including insulating and paneling tanks
  • Operate small hand tools, wrenches, impact guns, torque wrenches, sanders, and small grinders
  • Build and assemble parts according to work instructions
  • Pull parts listed on the Bill of Materials (BOM) and verify against blueprints and work orders
  • Use overhead cranes and/or forklifts for material handling
  • Inspect tools and equipment and perform basic preventative maintenance
  • Ensure the overhead crane is functioning properly before use

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to read a tape measure
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Experience with hand and power tools (preferred)
  • Ability to read instructions, BOMs, blueprints, or engineering drawings (preferred)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Electrical wiring, plumbing, or fabrication experience (preferred)
  • Spot welding experience is a plus
  • Must be able to communicate and understand basic English instructions
  • Steel-toed boots required

Nice to have:

  • Experience with hand and power tools (preferred)
  • Ability to read instructions, BOMs, blueprints, or engineering drawings (preferred)
  • Electrical wiring, plumbing, or fabrication experience (preferred)
  • Spot welding experience is a plus

  • Oversee the qualification of ADU (Automated Drilling Unit) and support their entry into service at the supplier site: FAL-USA.
  • Responsible for the adjustment of ADUs, cutting tools and drilling templates.
  • Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of ADUs.
  • Provide oversight and limited instruction to employees using equipment for the first time(s).
  • Support the Head of Back Shops and the production line in technical problem solving, regarding ADU's, cutting tools, drilling templates and test equipment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of the type of mechanical work performed in the FAL Back Shop.
