Utility Operator

• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary maintenance
• Respond promptly to utility outages or malfunctions, troubleshooting problems to restore service quickly
• Maintain accurate records of utility operations, including usage data, maintenance activities, and safety inspections
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations
• Assist in training new staff on utility operations and safety procedures
• Participate in emergency response drills and contribute to the development of emergency preparedness plans

• High school diploma or equivalent
• additional technical training or certifications in utilities management is a plus
• previous experience in a utility operator role or similar position is preferred
• strong understanding of utility systems and equipment operation
• excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
• ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
• strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices
• willingness to work flexible hours
