Job Description

Astrion is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused UTILITY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST to support the 96th Civil Engineer Group on EGLIN AFB, FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for the business and administrative functions of the base utility portfolio. This role involves managing customer accounts, supporting the development of utility contracts, and ensuring the accuracy of billing and data. You will act as a key liaison between the government and utility customers, converting complex data into understandable reports and maintaining positive customer relationships.

Job Responsibility

  • Create, maintain, and process customer utility accounts, including setting up new service, handling billing inquiries, and resolving service-related issues
  • Assist in reviewing Installation Support Agreements (ISAs) and developing Utility Sales Agreements (USAs) for the sale of utilities to reimbursable customers. Ensure all agreements are accurate, updated, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Analyze utility usage data using statistical methods and software. Convert complex data and findings into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports for leadership and customers. Monitor and forecast sales trends
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for utility customers. Attend meetings to foster good relationships, resolve issues, and communicate information regarding utility services and billing
  • Process work orders related to utility services and ensure the accuracy of information within computer databases and specialized billing software. Aid the Utility Manager in interpreting technical policy and regulatory documents

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • A bachelor's degree is not required for this position
  • Proficiency in specialized billing software or computer database systems
  • Strong reading, analytical, and problem-solving skills to interpret technical policies and regulations
  • Proven experience in data analysis and the ability to convert data into clear reports
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience in utility management, billing, contract administration, or a related field is highly desirable
