As a Utility Engineer at JLL, you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing building performance and energy efficiency across our diverse portfolio of commercial properties. You'll collaborate with facility management teams, clients, and vendors to design, implement, and maintain utility systems that drive operational excellence and sustainability. Job Responsibility:
Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.
Perform repairs, inspections and, or, replacements in the following areas: Automated doors, Office Furniture/Space enhancement, Lighting and Light Fixtures, Floor and Ceiling Tiles, Plumbing/Sewer Maintenance and Inspections, Toilet Facilities, Minor Construction Activities, Patch and Paint, Air Registers, Roof Leak Response, Any additional items that may be requested
Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
Assures that site equipment is being maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner and that down time is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs keeping records of past operating experiences
Maintains good facility relations through prompt and courteous response to facility requests within the guidelines set forth by JLL and Client
Responsible for assisting the building engineering team with protecting and improving the value of the client’s assets and ensuring that building engineering systems continue to perform their intended function
Monitor the quality of maintenance work performed by outside contractors
Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directed
Maintain GMP training qualifications to ensure site compliancy standards
Requirements:
Will need to join Local 39 Stationary Engineers Union
Demonstrating the proper use and care of tools and instruments
Work in a safe manner, submit near miss/good catch, and perform safety chats prior to working
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification
2+ years of experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in technical aspects of machinery, plumbing, equipment repair and maintenance
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license
