Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Utility Clerk to support Lockbox and Mailroom Operations. In this role, you will assist with incoming mail processing, scanning, extraction, sorting, and reject handling while ensuring production deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.

Job Responsibility

  • Operate mail sorting, extraction, and scanning equipment to process incoming mail and payments
  • Receive, sort, and prepare incoming mail according to established procedures
  • Operate and maintain equipment including OPEX Falcon, OPEX 150/IEM, OPEX MPS 40
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify jams, misfeeds, or operational issues
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment problems and escalate issues when necessary
  • Process rejects and assists with mailroom support functions
  • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Meet daily production goals and processing deadlines
  • Follow all operational, compliance, security, and audit procedures
  • Support team objectives and contribute to a collaborative work environment
  • Lift and carry mail trays weighing up to 10–15 pounds as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a lockbox, mailroom, scanning, document processing, or production environment preferred
  • Experience operating OPEX Falcon, OPEX 150/IEM, OPEX MPS 40, or similar extraction and scanning equipment is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
