Job Description:

The primary objective of this position is to provide production and housekeeping support to operations, shipping, and grounds. This position may be required to train and work anywhere in the plant to cover for production absence as needed for plant continuity of operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide production and housekeeping support to operations, shipping, and grounds
  • Maintain housekeeping for the entire plant, including snow removal and sweeping
  • Conduct finished product audits and inventories
  • Assist with stacking seconds and hand stacking bundles
  • Operate sweeper and perform vehicle inspection
  • Monitor wrapper quality and assist wrapper attendant when re-wrapping and re-stacking shingles
  • Assist preparing seconds for storage and shipment
  • Orders and maintains tools and supplies required to accomplish cleaning role
  • Painting of the facility and equipment
  • Assist in lace up for start-ups and after breaks
  • Participate in safety and good housekeeping programs
  • Comply with all plants rules, safety regulations and corporate policies
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any accident, near miss accident or on-the-job injury
  • Operate equipment only when trained
  • Always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Basic mathematics skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 40 lbs without assistance
  • Routinely ascend and descend stairs to enter work areas
  • Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Push/Drive floor sweeping and cleaning equipment or tools
  • Lifting and carrying (up to 40 lbs)
  • Ability to rotate and work shift work
  • Ability to help with all line breaks and lace-ups
