Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and experienced full-time Ute Driver/Yard Hand to join our client's successful team, servicing the Canberra region. This is a critical dual role involving both the safe and timely delivery of equipment across the ACT and supporting yard operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Driving a Ute with a small crane/hiab to safely load up, drive, and drop off equipment to customer sites all over the ACT
  • Following the road rules, all the safety stuff, and how we handle deliveries here at the company
  • Jump in with the general yard work this means signing in gear, checking it over, cleaning it up, and getting it ready for the next hire
  • Keep the operations team and our customers in the loop with clear, friendly updates during all your deliveries
  • Keep all your necessary licenses and certs current, and be proactive about keeping the workplace safe for everyone

Requirements:

  • A current and valid driver's license with a clear driving record
  • Proven experience operating a Ute with a rear-mounted crane/hiab
  • White Card (General Construction Induction)
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Silica Awareness
  • Excellent geographical knowledge of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT)
  • Clear, effective, and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the willingness to work full-time hours, which may include early starts
  • The ability to perform manual handling and general yard duties as required
