Job Description:

We are looking for a talented User Experience (UX) Designer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Bloomington, Minnesota. In this role, you will focus on creating intuitive and engaging designs for responsive websites, with an emphasis on mobile platforms. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in UX/UI design and visual storytelling within the education industry.

Job Responsibility:

Develop user-centered designs that enhance the experience for responsive websites, particularly on mobile platforms
Create and refine UX artifacts, including user journeys, flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with project goals and user needs
Apply UX best practices and interaction design principles to deliver visually compelling and functional designs
Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback to improve design outcomes
Utilize tools such as Figma and Adobe XD to produce high-quality design deliverables
Work with eCommerce platforms to design optimized user experiences
Implement designs within dotCMS or other open-source content management systems
Stay updated on emerging trends in UX/UI design and apply them to projects
Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
3–5 years specializing in responsive website design for mobile devices
Strong understanding of UX principles and user interaction design
Proven ability to create impactful visual storytelling through user journeys, wireframes, and other design artifacts
Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and their unique design requirements
Hands-on experience with dotCMS or similar open-source content management systems
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe XD
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
