The User Experience (UX) Designer is a strategic partner in delivering seamless, user-centered digital experiences for employees and brokers at Westland. This role produces lots of artifacts, from research findings and low-fidelity sketches to pixel-perfect visuals ready to be developed. This role is responsible for designing and optimizing digital workflows, championing the design system, and collaborating across business units to ensure technology solutions drive business outcomes and user satisfaction. As a User Experience Designer, you will blend human‑centred design, research, and data‑driven insights to refine how clients interact with the Westland brands at touchpoints across multiple digital journeys. You will uncover friction, interpret behavioral signals, identify experience gaps, and translate insights into user flows, low‑fidelity wireframes, prototypes, all the way to elegant high-fidelity designs.You will work cross‑functionally to deliver prioritized items, elevate digital experiences, and ensure our omnichannel ecosystem continuously evolves to meet client expectations and business priorities.
Job Responsibility:
Manage requests for new digital experiences and improvements
Engage stakeholders to understand business needs, pain points, and strategic goals
Frame design opportunities with clear scope, impact, and strategic alignment
Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing
Facilitate workshops and design sprints to gather insights and co-create solutions
Design wireframes, prototypes, and user flows for new and existing digital products
Ensure solutions are accessible, visually appealing, and aligned with business objectives
Maintain, evolve, and advocate for the corporate design system in Figma
Ensure consistency in visual language, interaction patterns, and accessibility standards across all digital products
Educate and support teams in adopting and applying the design system
Work closely with business stakeholders, IT, marketing, and insurance teams to translate requirements into effective user experiences
Collaborate with BTEO experience analysts and product owners to leverage feedback and data
Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and vendors
Partner with development teams to ensure design intent is realized in final products
Participate in project planning, provide design specifications, and support testing and training
Monitor user metrics and usage analytics post-launch
Gather feedback, iterate on designs, and recommend enhancements
Champion user-centered design principles and best practices
Lead efforts to integrate UX into everyday work, fostering a culture of innovation and empathy
Requirements:
High-level proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
Demonstrated experience in maintaining and evolving a corporate design system
Strong portfolio showcasing digital product design in a corporate or enterprise environment
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Hands‑on experience with journey design, research methods, wireframing, and flow creation using modern design and analytics tools
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Experience with business enablement, technology integration, or digital transformation projects
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Familiarity with accessibility standards, AI, machine learning, and project management methodologies
Familiarity with Agile, Service Design, and Design Thinking practices
Self‑aware and objective, able to separate personal preferences from user needs and data‑driven decision-making
A certificate or degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Information Technology, or related fields
