Job Description

We’re working in partnership with a Health Public Body on a significant long-term programme. Throughout the lifecycle of this work (and other wider public sector work we have), we anticipate needing support from experienced User-Centred Design Practitioners across a range of disciplines. The volume of UCD support needed is currently being reviewed, so, for now, we’re inviting expressions of interest from individuals who would like to be considered for when opportunities arise.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a UCD Practitioner in a Multidisciplinary project setting
  • Experience working on GDS (Government Digital Service) projects, or the NHS standard equivalent
  • Experience in the UK public sector
  • Experience working on health-related projects or services

Nice to have

  • Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design standards
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Leadership or mentoring experience (for Senior/Lead roles)

  • Provide community-based person-centered therapeutic programmes of care with people who have a Neuropsychiatric condition
  • Work autonomously, manage diary, implement, follow and update plans of care
  • Make onward referrals to other services and liaise with appropriate regional organisations in placing orders for equipment
  • Support carers by completing specific carer documentation and placing onward referrals for carers assessments
  • Assist the Community Practitioners, Therapists and Team Lead to plan, design and develop therapy and intervention activities
  • Contribute observations of the physical, communication and occupational barriers and strengths of the individuals
  • Promote Community Practitioner and Allied Health Professional recommendations within the team
  • Use specialist technical and creative skills to facilitate the preparation and implementation of AHP occupation/communication focused tools and approaches
  • Deliver 1:1 and group treatment to patients monitoring their progress and making minor adaptations
  • Assist Community Practitioners and Allied Health Professional Therapists in the provision of training courses to others
