The Head of USD Clearing will lead the USD Clearing Business and serve as a senior member of the Clearing & FI Payments team. This role involves driving strategic modernization, delivering new product capabilities, and maximizing business opportunities from FI clients' payment flows in major clearing currencies and cross-border payments. The position requires collaboration with numerous teams including Corporate Bank and FI coverage to ensure business growth and maintain a robust control environment.
Job Responsibility:
Develop 3-5 year USD Clearing product strategy and execution roadmap
Drive innovation within USD Clearing business for FI clients
Manage Product P&L (Revenue, Expense, and Net Income Plan)
Create annual financial plans and reforecasts
Increase revenues, net income, market share, volumes, and customer count
Initiate and drive transformational initiatives
Analyze product profitability, competition, and market positioning
Drive continuous enhancements to client experience and operational resiliency
Ensure world-class professional Product Development
Drive USD Clearing marketing strategy and client/industry positioning
Support and lead client engagement on key payment deals
Drive customer segmentation, product positioning, pricing, and marketing plans
Maintain active thought leadership role in industry
Represent Citi on Industry Associations and committees
Manage risks associated with USD Clearing
Ensure appropriate processes and controls for credit risk and liquidity needs
Manage regulatory compliance
Recruit and retain diverse talent within product team
Requirements:
Extensive and related experience in cash management, payments, and/or correspondent banking
Managerial experience
Deep industry knowledge of payment systems and FI clients' needs and behavior
Thorough financial acumen and P&L management experience
Ability to work effectively in a complex matrix environment
Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong ability to influence and build consensus
Articulate written and verbal communication skills
Proven track record of success in positions requiring financial and commercial acumen
Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions
Ability to balance business growth opportunities with strong understanding of risk/return dynamics
