The US Hospital Pricing Lead is a significant, cross-functional role that collaboratively partners among the US Hospital Commercial Team, Portfolio, PCO, Account Management, Finance, PGS, etc. to maximize the performance of the US HBU business and deliver on the organization's strategic goals through best in class pricing strategies. The position is primarily an Individual Contributor that is a highly engaged member of the US Commercial Organization, providing leadership/ownership of the US Commercial Pricing Policy. The US Hospital Pricing Lead will govern the creation and implementation of the US Commercial Pricing Policy, lead bi-monthly US Pricing Committee meetings, the Bi-Annual List Price process, and serve as a pan-Portfolio pricing czar to ensure optimal contract and pricing efficiencies are maintained. The position may also be responsible to directly or indirectly lead projects / initiatives to develop tools, analytics, reports related to optimizing US pricing strategy.
Job Responsibility:
Developing and recommending pricing/contracting strategies and alternatives across the US Hospital Injectables & Surgical Portfolio
applying deep expertise of the US HBU portfolio and market to support those recommendations with analytics
and monitoring the success (or recommending modification) of those strategies to enable the business to deliver on its commitments
Gaining and leveraging understanding of key customers to develop practical and effective pricing recommendations to drive successful customer strategies and responses (i.e. for RPFs, price challenges, etc.) and contracting decisions
Utilize NEO Dashboard and other tools to analyze, interpret, and translate data into actionable insights and recommendations to drive incremental revenue and margin through strategic pricing initiatives and contract strategies
Creation and management of the US Hospital Pricing Committee to effectively govern pricing decisions across the business unit
Implementation and management of US Hospital Pricing policy across all commercial contracts
Remaining well-informed of emerging external trends and market dynamics to identify signals in the marketplace that could impact our business
Managing the bi-annual List Price process across the Global Hospital and Biosimilar organization
Supporting the Go-To-Market process by leading market analyses and developing pricing/strategy recommendations for new product launches, private label launches, return to markets and line extensions
ideating, developing, redesigning, and/or enhancing key analytics tools, reports, and processes with an eye toward driving optimized pricing and contracting strategies
being a highly engaged strategic thinker who operates with an entrepreneurial mindset and in a fully compliant manner to summarize and maximize the performance of the Ig and Surgical portfolios and the Specialty Portfolio Lead’s overall business
championing, demonstrating, and promoting awareness of Pfizer’s values and culture

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
8-10 years of broad experience in the generic pharmaceutical or related experience/industry with emphasis on strategic and analytical roles in a multi-source product environment
Strong leadership skills

General understanding of basic government pricing programs related to pharmaceutical products (i.e. FSS, PHS 340b) with the ability to understand (and engage subject matter experts) when commercial contracts may materially impact government pricing

Ability to build and maintain dashboards using Tableau preferred
Experience supporting acute care (hospital) or alternate site (long term care facilities, home healthcare networks, infusion centers, etc.) preferred
