Job Description

We have been assigned by a global accountancy firm who seek to hire a US funds tax assistant manager or new manager. They are seeking a motivated individual to join a newly established and rapidly growing US tax practice in the Cayman Islands. Group focus is towards the hedge fund and private equity space, but duties may include corporate, individual, insurance and withholding taxes from time to time. You should be a self-starter, technically adept, and personable. The firms clients consist of predominantly financial services entities – captive insurance and hedge funds.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparing and/or reviewing tax returns and supporting tax workpapers/analysis for US investor reporting for hedge funds and private equity client base in accordance with laws and regulations
  • Building relationships with clients
  • Providing planning, consulting and technical expertise
  • Duties may include corporate, individual, insurance and withholding taxes from time to time

Requirements

  • US CPA, Enrolled Agent, Canadian CA, ACCA qualified or hold an equivalent qualification
  • At least 3 years experience within US tax with a strong focus on US funds, partnerships or corporate exposure
