Job Description:

Join a dynamic team in a hospital setting as a Urology specialist, providing essential care through a mix of procedures and patient interactions. This locum tenens position offers flexible scheduling between June and July, focusing on adult patients with the exception of emergent cases. The practice provides support staff and utilizes advanced equipment, including robotic surgery capabilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide comprehensive urological care, including procedures such as vasectomy, cystoscopy, prostate procedures, and lithotripsy
  • Handle 24-hour beeper call duties, with an estimated callback time of 2–6 hours per day
  • Collaborate with support staff, including medical assistants and registered nurses
  • Supervise new APPs

Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
  • PA License preferred
  • DEA required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience
  • Credentialing timeframe is 90 days, with temporary privileges available for candidates with a clean file
  • Proficiency in core urological procedures
  • Ability to manage operating room duties and supervise staff
  • Experience with EMR systems, particularly EPIC
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
