There’s a difference between working as a UPS field engineer for a third-party contractor and doing it as the manufacturer’s own representative on site. If you’ve spent time on the contractor side, you’ll know what that difference looks like – and how clients treat you accordingly. This role is field-based, covering the South East, for a global manufacturer operating across more than 160 countries. Basic salary is £65,000 to £75,000 depending on experience. On top of that: an annual bonus of around £10,000, £650 per month car allowance, private healthcare and an enhanced pension.
Job Responsibility
Commission UPS and critical power systems on customer sites
Provide technical support through installation and post-deployment phases
Troubleshoot with customers and internal teams
Represent the business in the field
Operate autonomously and manage own workload
Requirements
Solid hands-on experience with three-phase UPS systems
Commissioning, field support, or application engineering background
Sound understanding of data centre power infrastructure and electrical standards
