We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Upper Primary Teacher to teach Years 5 and 6, supporting students as they develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to transition successfully into secondary education.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across all upper primary subjects, following the English National Curriculum
Track and assess student progress, adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and resilience
Support the pastoral development of students, building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Contribute to curriculum planning, cross-curricular projects, and school-wide initiatives
Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities
Maintain high professional standards in safeguarding, communication, and classroom management
Requirements:
A degree in Primary Education or equivalent
PGCE/QTS (or an internationally recognised teaching qualification)
Strong experience teaching upper primary (Years 5–6) within the English National Curriculum
A passion for delivering creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
A collaborative, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching and school life
Nice to have:
Experience in international school settings is desirable but not essential
