Job Responsibility:
Support the planning and delivery of engaging, play‑based learning experiences aligned with Te Whāriki
Build warm, respectful relationships with children, whānau, and colleagues
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment both indoors and outdoors
Assist with observations, documentation, and learning stories to track children's progress
Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through responsive interactions
Uphold centre policies, health and safety procedures, and child protection requirements
Participate in team planning, reflective practice, and professional development activities
Help maintain well‑organised, high‑quality learning spaces and resources
Communicate positively and professionally with whānau and colleagues to support strong partnerships
Requirements:
A genuine passion for early childhood education and supporting young children's learning and development
Warm, respectful interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children and whānau
A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn from experienced teachers
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative teaching environment
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with colleagues and documenting learning
An understanding of Te Whāriki and a desire to grow capability in play‑based, child‑led learning
Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to follow centre policies, health and safety requirements, and daily routines
