Requirements

  • Must be a graduate (B. Tech/B.E./MCA or equivalent)
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration in large-scale enterprise environments
  • Deep expertise in Linux OS (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE, Rocky)
  • Strong knowledge of kernel tuning, performance optimization, system internals, and capacity planning
  • Expertise in troubleshooting complex production issues
  • Strong hands-on experience with Ansible / Puppet / Chef for configuration management and automation
  • Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting for automation and operational efficiency
  • Experience in building reusable automation frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • Experience managing Linux workloads in cloud and hybrid environments
  • Understanding of cloud-native services, IAM, networking, and storage
  • Strong working knowledge of Docker / Podman
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift administration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, Splunk or similar tools
  • Exposure to SRE practices (SLI/SLO, alerting, incident response, error budgets)
  • Ability to implement proactive monitoring and improve system reliability
  • Strong understanding of Linux security, hardening, and vulnerability management
  • Experience with compliance standards (CIS, STIG, ISO, SOC2) and audit support
  • Lead major incident handling (P1/P2), perform RCA, and implement preventive measures
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL practices and governance
  • Ability to design and implement scalable, highly available Linux environments
  • Experience in migrations, upgrades, and data center/cloud transformations
  • Work closely with DevOps, application, and cloud teams for CI/CD integration
  • Exposure to tools like Jenkins, Git, Terraform is desirable
  • Knowledge of AIX/Solaris for legacy system support is an added advantage
  • RHCE/RHCA, LFCS/LFCE, or Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) preferred
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to mentor L1/L2 engineers and guide technical teams
  • Ownership mindset with strong analytical and decision-making ability
  • Willing to work in rotational shifts / on-call support in a 24x7 environment
