Job Description:

Summary: Provides administrative and secretarial support to one or more nursing units and serves as a point of contact for staff, patients, caregivers, and other healthcare organizations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
  • Greeting and directing visitors, relaying information and messages to patients and medical staff, and facilitating communication between the care unit and other healthcare providers
  • Answering telephones, distributing mail, preparing and filing paperwork, and ordering and storing supplies
  • Maintaining and updating patient records
  • preparing admission and discharge paperwork
  • Filing test and lab reports within medical records
  • Coordinating patient services by scheduling tests, treatments, and consultations for patients and arranging for patient transfers
  • Performs administrative activities in compliance with all regulations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required
  • One-year minimum healthcare experience preferred
  • BLS preferred
