Job Responsibility

  • Implement the localised People Planning strategy by applying global principles, processes, and guidelines, while ensuring compliance with IKEA employment standards, local legislation, and union agreements
  • Partner with department managers to co-create, align, and post schedules based on business forecasts, workload drivers, and staffing availability—ensuring co-worker, customer, and business needs are met within budget
  • Act as a key link between P&C, Business Navigation, and Recruitment to ensure alignment on hours, headcount, contract types, and capacity needs, supporting optimal staffing and business performance
  • Use staffing tools, data analysis (e.g., As-Is structure, availability), and digital solutions to continuously evaluate and enhance the planning process, identifying opportunities for multi-skilling and improved efficiency
  • Drive awareness and understanding of people planning principles through training and support across the unit, and ensure timely evaluation of timecards and compliance with payroll processes where applicable
