Job Description:

We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Unit Manager to lead our team and ensure our residents receive the highest standard of personalised care. As Unit Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of our care home, manage and support staff, and ensure we maintain exceptional care quality. You will build strong relationships with residents and their families, lead by example, and foster a warm, safe and positive environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage daily operations, care standards, staffing and financial controls
  • Create and monitor personalised care plans
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Infection Control and Care Standards
  • Lead and support staff through recruitment, training, rotas and supervision
  • Handle medication management, audits, record-keeping and safeguarding
  • Engage with residents, families, external professionals and regulatory bodies
  • Manage enquiries, tours, admissions and promote the home within the community

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a care environment (older adults preferred)
  • 2+ years’ supervisory or management experience
  • Qualified to Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential) and working or looking to work towards level 4
  • Strong knowledge of care legislation, compliance and H&S
  • Experience with budgets, staff management and recruitment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Warm, professional and caring approach
  • Flexible and able to provide on-call support when required
