Working as part of a team or on your own to provide on-site Unit Management service, deploying, servicing or removing state of the art Medical Units in the UK. You will be responsible to ensure the unit Operators have everything they need to deliver the best possible service.
Job Responsibility:
Unit Management: Drive the Medical vehicle unit to each site according to the agreed schedule and route
Communicate with the site contact prior to setting up the vehicle, to ensure complete satisfaction of vehicle positioning
Erect the vehicle and equipment, in accordance with the standard layout
To work in a flexible manner with the deployment team to solve problems and ensure the unit is delivered successfully
Any other reasonable task as instructed by your line manager
The role involves driving a variety of vehicles from van to class 1. Delivering consumables to units in a lightweight van and delivering / collecting lightweight medical vehicles to and from locations
A portion of this work will be yard based, readying units for deployments etc
Working 5 days out of 7 including occasional evening and weekend work
Working away from home for the duration of the shift
Medical Vehicle Management: Responsible for maintaining the presentation of the vehicle and delivery to the highest possible standard throughout deployment
Returning the vehicle to the designated storage site in a condition suitable for immediate departure to the next assignment
Discrepancies or damage to the vehicle or third party must be reported to the Transport Manager & UM Manger
Carry out basic maintenance, or preparation duties, as required to complete each deployment, or to proceed according to the drivers schedule
Service the vehicle and other equipment on site
Compliance: Complete all paperwork, documentation and returns on time related to the tour
Ensure compliance with Drivers Hours & working time directive (WTD)
Maintain the highest level of personal presentation whilst adhering to the standards of attire
Ensure on site risk assessments, site surveys are conducted and all records are submitted promptly and accurately
Performance Measures: To achieve no traffic and speeding offences or fines
Exceed client expectations with no negative feedback
Achieve no infringement on Tachograph or WTD
Timely reporting of any Incidents or accidents complete with statements (24h)
Client feedback reports 100% meets - exceed expectation in terms of vehicle delivery and Roadshow Manager Presentation, initiative and management of the event
Requirements:

Attention to detail with regards to presentation of self, the unit and all aspects of work
Good communicator and professional approach both internally and with clients, suppliers and the public
Ability to give constructive feedback and suggestions
Self-Motivated and committed, to high standards and tight deadlines
Flexible attitude to work – the ability to adapt to changing demands and situations
Able to work away from home for extended periods, occasionally with unsocial hours
Listening skills – to fully understand the requirements of each job when verbally briefed
Full UK residency and hold a valid driving license and have suitable transport provisions (public transport is not recommended due to location of offices)
Able to travel throughout the UK and Overseas

Physical Fitness: Some of your daily roles may require physical stamina, such as the ability to lift and carry heavy items. Candidates should be capable of meeting the physical demands of the job
Vehicle Maintenance Skills: Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting can be valuable
Safety Record: A demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices is crucial
