Requirements

  • Business risk management: Thorough knowledge of how to assess and mitigate risks in a business environment.
  • Project management: Extensive knowledge of how to initiate, plan, execute, control and close a project
  • Software relevant for Facility Management: good knowledge of tools for timeline management (e.g. MS Project), document management (e.g Projectplace, Hummingbird), drawing management (e.g CEP), tender, cost follow-up tools (e.g Unifier) and other common software (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Technical knowledge on buildings and equipment: High level technical understanding in all aspects of a retail building and connected equipment as well as understanding of asset management (maintenance and repair history, reinvestment planning)
  • Cost control: General knowledge of how to execute a budget
  • including the knowledge of appropriate tools, cost groups, cost benchmarking and how to recognize and prevent any deviation
  • FM Procurement: General knowledge of the internal procurement procedures regarding FM activities within the project
  • Property safety: Good knowledge of requirements (company specific and local/national) in providing a structurally safe property, equipped with life safety & property protection systems (e.g. fire protection systems)
  • Compliance: Good knowledge of Ingka requirements and standards as well as local and national regulatory FM related requirements
  • Good knowledge of IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in contracting, consulting and/or managing projects within real estate
  • Minimum 3 years experience of procurement processes and contract negotiations
  • Academic degree in engineering/construction or equivalent working experience
  • Experience within the retail sector is an advantage
  • Experience in Facility Management, Construction or Project Management
  • Proven skills in developing people and providing support, coaching, training, and career direction to others
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in the local language as well as basic English (B2)
  • Strong budget management skills, with the ability to work closely with Finance teams to define, request, monitor, and control project budgets.
  • Demonstrated capability in project planning, timeline management, cost estimation, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with a track record of managing supplier relationships and achieving favorable commercial outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities, capable of bringing together cross-functional teams (including Safety, IT, Finance, and Operations) to align requirements and drive consensus.
  • Ability to establish clear governance, project boundaries, and decision-making frameworks from the outset to ensure effective project execution and stakeholder alignment.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and coordination skills, with the ability to balance diverse business needs while maintaining project objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Preferable knowledge of Ingka construction standards and investment procedures
  • Strong experience of working and steering through financial tools (eg. Investment Request (IR), P&L)
