Job Description:

The National Tertiary Education Union (Victorian Division) covers staff employed in universities, associated companies, research institutes, TAFE, student unions and adult and community education. The Union’s membership includes Academic, General, Research and Professional staff. NTEU is seeking a highly motivated, member focused individual with experience in organising, recruitment and campaigning, either in a trade union or in social justice organisations. The successful applicant will be committed to building the trade union movement. The position is offered as a full-time, ongoing role. The successful candidate will initially be working across the universities in Victoria.

Job Responsibility:

  • Taking responsibility for the completion of organising, campaign, and administrative tasks or projects at the Branch level and state-wide
  • Travel between Branches
  • May be allocated to other NTEU Branches in Victoria from time to time

Requirements:

  • Highly motivated, member focused individual
  • Experience in organising, recruitment and campaigning in a trade union or social justice organisations
