The Unified Communications & Collaboration Engineer will design and implement enterprise voice solutions using Microsoft Teams and Audiocodes SBCs. The role requires a bachelor's degree in IT or related fields and 3-5 years of experience in unified communications. Strong troubleshooting skills and collaboration with internal teams are essential. Preferred certifications include Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate and Audiocodes Certified Professional.
Job Responsibility:
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise voice and collaboration solutions based on Microsoft Teams, including Teams Phone and Direct Routing capabilities
Integrate and manage Audiocodes Session Border Controllers (SBCs), including Mediant series devices and OVOC (One Voice Operations Center) for centralized monitoring and management
Manage and support the VoIP backbone infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity between cloud-based Teams telephony, on-premises systems, SIP trunks, and PSTN networks
Provision, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise IP phones and ATA devices used within the unified communications environment
Monitor system performance and service availability, proactively identifying issues and performing root cause analysis to resolve incidents and improve service reliability
Troubleshoot complex issues related to voice routing, SIP signaling, telephony services, and Microsoft Teams voice features
Collaborate with internal IT teams, network engineers, collaboration teams, and external vendors to deliver and support unified communications services
Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and governance requirements
Support system upgrades, configuration changes, and lifecycle management of voice and collaboration infrastructure
Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers, supporting knowledge sharing and operational excellence within the team
Participate in on-call rotations and out-of-hours support for live streaming events and critical service incidents
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in unified communications or voice engineering roles in enterprise environments
Strong expertise in Microsoft Teams voice services, including Teams Phone System and Direct Routing
Hands-on experience working with Audiocodes SBCs (Mediant series) and OVOC management platform
Solid understanding of VoIP backbone architecture, SIP trunking, call routing, and PSTN integration
Experience provisioning and managing enterprise IP phones and ATA devices
Strong troubleshooting skills related to voice infrastructure, SIP signaling, telephony routing, and collaboration platforms
Experience supporting enterprise-scale voice deployments and operational environments
Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell desirable) for operational tasks and system management
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and vendors
Excellent command of both spoken and written English and German
Nice to have:
Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate certification is preferred
Audiocodes Certified Professional certification is desirable
