The Unified Communications & Collaboration Engineer will design, implement, and maintain enterprise communication solutions using Cisco CUCM and Audiocodes SBCs.
Job Responsibility:
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise unified communications solutions based on Cisco CUCM (Cisco Unified Communications Manager)
Integrate and manage Audiocodes Session Border Controllers (SBCs) including Mediant series devices and OVOC (One Voice Operations Center) for monitoring and management
Support and maintain the VoIP backbone infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity between on-premises telephony systems, SIP trunks, and PSTN services
Provision, configure, and troubleshoot managed IP phones and ATA devices, ensuring seamless voice service for end users
Monitor system health and performance across the voice environment, proactively identifying issues and performing root cause analysis to resolve incidents
Troubleshoot complex voice, SIP signaling, telephony routing, and connectivity issues across enterprise communication systems
Collaborate with internal infrastructure teams, collaboration teams, and external vendors to support deployments, upgrades, and service improvements
Ensure systems meet security, compliance, and operational standards, maintaining accurate technical documentation and operational procedures
Support system upgrades, configuration changes, and lifecycle management for voice and collaboration platforms
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers within the unified communications team
Participate in on-call rotations and out-of-hours support for live streaming events and critical service incidents
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in unified communications or voice engineering within enterprise environments
Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco CUCM administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
Experience working with Audiocodes SBCs (Mediant series) and OVOC management platform
Solid understanding of VoIP backbone architecture, SIP trunking, call routing, and PSTN integration
Hands-on experience provisioning and managing enterprise IP phones and ATA devices
Strong troubleshooting skills related to voice services, SIP signaling, telephony infrastructure, and call quality issues
Experience supporting enterprise-scale voice deployments and operational environments
Familiarity with automation or scripting (PowerShell desirable) for operational tasks and system administration
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical teams and vendors
Excellent command of both spoken and written English and German
Nice to have:
Cisco CCNP Collaboration certification is preferred
Audiocodes Certified Professional certification is desirable
