Currently, we are looking for an experienced Unified Communication Engineer to support and maintain enterprise communication platforms in a complex, distributed Microsoft environment. The role focuses on Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, and Microsoft 365 services, ensuring high availability, performance, and secure operation of unified communication systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Administration of Microsoft Exchange Servers (including Exchange Online and hybrid environments)
  • Administration of Microsoft Skype for Business Servers
  • Administration of Microsoft Teams services, including Teams Phone
  • Acting as 2nd line support for incidents across production, testing, and development environments
  • Troubleshooting incidents and problems, and updating ticketing systems in a timely manner
  • Liaising with other administrators and aligning solutions and operational processes
  • Designing and architecting long-term changes to unified communication platforms
  • Contributing to technical specifications for UC-based or UC-integrated solutions
  • Collaborating with development teams to align topology and configuration with project requirements
  • Maintaining and developing system documentation and operational procedures
  • Reporting on operational activities

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience after education, including at least 3 years in a similar role
  • English proficiency at B2 level
  • Excellent practical knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server, including Exchange Hybrid environments
  • Experience administering complex, distributed Exchange topologies
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Skype for Business Server administration
  • Expertise in Exchange Server optimization, tuning, and capacity planning
  • Expertise in Skype for Business optimization, tuning, and capacity planning
  • Practical experience administering Microsoft Teams communication features
  • Experience in Exchange and Skype for Business patch management
  • Strong ability to analyze and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems
  • Basic knowledge of other Microsoft system administration
  • Practical experience with Connex/Dencrypt communication platforms
  • Experience with desk sharing, group calendars, and room panel applications (e.g. TimeFlex)
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for Microsoft Teams and Exchange Online
  • Experience automating bulk user provisioning, license assignment, and configuration audits across M365 and on-premises environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API for reporting and automation
  • Experience working in restricted environments
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory tiering model
  • Strong understanding of ITIL-based operational processes and ticket-driven environments
  • Ability to work with monitoring, incident management, and change management processes
  • Experience contributing to architecture and design of enterprise communication platforms
  • Strong documentation discipline (runbooks, SOPs, technical documentation)
