Underwriting Manager

• Support daily risk assessment of Life, CI and Medical cases within authorized limits
• Provide coaching and mentoring to team for the following: Coordinate underwriting activities on new business, policy servicing, re-underwriting
• Audit and review policies for compliance and internal underwriting rules
• Manage and oversee a team's performance on executing underwriting cases
• Liaise with reinsurer on formulation of UW guidelines and building flexibility into policy offerings to cater unique health conditions of customers
• Work closely with product team, operations and distribution team members to support with marketing or business activities
• Drive projects and underwriting initiatives inclusive of product development, digitalization, automated underwriting through rule engine and customer journey review
• Support ad-hoc projects assignments, communicate and control project progress to be met in a timely manner
• Support Cross-stream underwriting activities and trainings

• Solid experience in Life insurance field with attained underwriting authority across Life, CI, Medical businesses, preferable in High Net Worth business
• Good knowledge of regulatory environment with relates to Life insurance
• Well-developed analytical skills and strong business acumen
• Data analytic relevant qualification or experience is a merit
• Good command of both written and oral English
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work under tight schedule with high quality deliverables
• Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
