Job Description:

The Underwriting Corporate Internship Program is a 10.5-week full-time opportunity. As a CVS Health Corporate Intern you will participate in projects that contribute to the success of our business, community service activities, professional development workshops, mentorship and networking opportunities, and interaction with senior leaders. Our Underwriting teams play a key role in shaping pricing strategies and driving business growth across Commercial, International, and Government insurance products.

Job Responsibility:

  • Price new and existing business with the goal of selling and retaining profitable customers
  • Act as a strategic partner to support overall management of your book of business
  • Work with internal partners in sales and account management to negotiate pricing, create benefit plan designs and cross sell additional products/programs in support of our customers
  • Collaborate with actuarial to refine pricing based on changes in future medical costs, trends and customer specific data
  • Participate in leadership development opportunities such as networking, solution-focused business projects and career coaching and feedback

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree
  • Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2026 and August 2027
  • Have a major, minor or concentration in Risk Management & Insurance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics
  • Have a willingness to commute or relocate to the Hartford, CT office
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
