Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Underwriting Associate in the Private Label Credit Card - Retail Service Department to review, analyze, approve, and underwrite routine individual consumer credit requests and products within company and industry guidelines.

Job Responsibility:

Review, analyze, approve, and underwrite routine individual consumer requests and products within company and industry guidelines
Review credit applications, credit bureau information, collateral valuation, tax returns, financial statements, or other supporting documentation
Assist with calculations and preparation of reports for review
Respond to customer inquiries and credit decisions
Ensure credit files are current, complete, and compliant with company standards
Contact customers and partners to gather information and explain rationale behind credit decisions

Requirements:

6+ months of underwriting, loan processing, originations, or closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
Knowledge and understanding of underwriting: workout, originating, structuring, and executing transaction
Strong credit underwriting skills
