Job Responsibility
Initiate and underwrite the credit approval processes of margin loans, derivative transactions, and interim credit applications for Citi Private Bank
Provide annual reviews of the existing credit relationships
Ensure timely completion of credit transactions within the standard turnaround timeframes
Ensure the framework of credit risk policies, standards, and operating procedures and manuals are followed with respect to underwriting
Conduct due diligence assessment, including risk ratings and borrower’s financial and collateral analyses, to identify off-underwriting terms and off-target market counterparties
Ensure minimum mandatory disclosures for all credit applications
Recommend credit extension approval within the limits of first line of defense, affirming that all minimum requirements are met, attesting correct risk rating, and confirming the assessed risk is within the appetite
Support interim and new credit approvals, annual reviews, Criticized Credit Memos preparations, and other tasks that require second line of defense credit approval
Participate in ISDA CSA negotiations and ensure all legal and other requisite documents associated with derivative, margin loan, and other credit transactions are fully executed and in line with the credit approval
Work with Margin Lending Advisors and GCM Credit Solutions Team in coordinating margin call deferrals and approvals
Monitor and remediate obligor and facility level limit excess, identify obligors whose risk ratings may require adjustment, and propose risk mitigation action plans
Review across Citi’s entire risk and reporting infrastructure to ensure exposures and risks are accurately reported and appropriately monitored.
Requirements
Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 2 years of experience as a Credit Risk Senior Analyst, Financial Analyst, or related position involving credit risk analysis and management in a global financial institution. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Full span of experience must include: Mathematical (Quantitative and Qualitative) methods of finance
Financial modeling for valuation using Discounted CashFlow Model (DCF Model), Three Statement Model, Merger Model
Financial statement analysis
Collateral analysis
and Credit memo preparation.
