Underwriter

• Lead and Manage Private Equity transactions risk across the Private and Investment Bank
• Create written and oral work products to test financial feasibility and credit worthiness of loan forwards, permanent loans, and permanent loan conversions
• Review due diligence and prepare internal committee packages for approval
• Process transactions through internal systems to ensure regulatory requirements
• Manage communications among diverse mix of internal and external participants
• Meet with internal and external clients and participate in training opportunities
• Conduct analysis on firm special projects as needed
• Assess risk when business decisions are made
• Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations

• 15+ years of experience
• 8-10+ years' managerial experience
• Significant risk/risk-related counterparty credit work experience in banking/financial institutions with expertise in alternative investment counterparties
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to facilitate relationships with key clients in Banking and Risk
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Work well under tight deadlines, manage priorities, and complete assigned tasks with minimal management follow up
• Quantitative skills with high proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft based programs
• Experience underwriting and supporting a portfolio of complex products
• Strong knowledge of Derivatives and structured lending
• Excellent analytical and computer skills including ability to quickly adopt new technology
• Bachelor's/University degree
