Job Description:

ICM's objective is to provide integrated 'end-to-end' credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for wholesale credit risk across the enterprise. The Infrastructure Finance (IF) and Clean Energy Finance (CEF) Underwriter will cover large and complex relationships globally and will manage the underwriting process. This role reports directly to the Head of IF and CEF Underwriting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Interface with and support bankers in underwriting requests for credit extensions
  • Adoption of leading practices in credit analysis, underwriting, and monitoring
  • Prepare detailed written credit analysis of transactions
  • Perform credit and financial statement analysis on borrowers, guarantors, and co-borrowers
  • Perform industry and geographical research and other due diligence
  • Maintain compliance with bank credit policies/practices and regulatory policies
  • Assist business unit goals by continuous identification of process improvements
  • Provide backup support to Credit Underwriting Group Manager
  • Mentor junior level Credit Officers
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years relevant experience in infrastructure finance and/or clean energy finance underwriting and/or financial services
  • Proven analytical skills including the ability to read and assess individual and company financial statements, cash flow, industry/competitive analysis and projections
  • Demonstrated knowledge of intermediate accounting theory and its practical application in the credit underwriting process
  • Excellent organizational skills, prioritizing capabilities, attention to detail
  • Effective inter-personal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Thorough problem recognition and resolution skills
  • Pro-active disposition with ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Proficient in various spreadsheet and word processing applications (Excel and Word)
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

  • Experience with complicated business structures with foreign subsidiaries and/or parent organizations
  • Ability to complete assignments within required deadlines in a fast-paced environment
