Job Description:

This role involves managing the underwriting and portfolio administration for commercial lines business originated through international brokerage channels. You will be responsible for assessing risks and providing technical support to ensure the delivery of insurance solutions that meet the requirements of corporate clients within the broker network.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing the underwriting and portfolio administration for commercial lines business originated through international brokerage channels
  • Assessing risks and providing technical support to ensure the delivery of insurance solutions
  • Evaluating and underwriting commercial risks from international brokers within established risk appetites
  • Managing the daily servicing of international brokerage accounts
  • Reviewing policy wordings and contract terms
  • Providing technical assistance and guidance to broker partners
  • Analyzing market trends and competitor activities
  • Monitoring the performance of the assigned commercial lines portfolio

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience in general insurance underwriting, specifically within commercial lines
  • Knowledge of the international broker landscape and the general insurance market in Singapore
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and insurance-related software systems
  • Professional insurance certifications such as BCP, PGI, or ComGI
