Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking an Underground Trainer to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation. Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada. With commercial production expected in mid-2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. As part of the Health & Safety Team, the Underground Trainer primary responsibility is to assist the Training Coordinator in the design and delivery of comprehensive training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.You will develop engaging training materials, conduct interactive training sessions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs. Collaborating closely with the different department, you will identify training needs, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and foster proactive safety practices.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver engaging training to employees, contractors, and stakeholders across all levels
Teach hazard identification, risk assessment, and safe work procedures
Train and assess equipment operator competency
Deliver Underground Mine Orientation
Support emergency response training, including evacuation and first aid
Provide training on safe operation and maintenance of equipment
Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback
Maintain accurate training and attendance records
Promote a proactive safety culture and reporting
Identify and implement improvements to training and safety practices
Requirements:
Proven experience in training, leadership, organization, and communication
Minimum 5 years of underground mining experience
Strong knowledge of key mining tasks, including drilling, blasting, mucking, construction, and equipment operation
Commitment to health and safety standards
Training experience in a multicultural environment is an asset
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Knowledge of Saskatchewan health, safety, and mining regulations
Team-oriented, self-motivated, and enthusiastic
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
