Job Responsibility

  • Carrying out personal risk assessment, hazard identification and other safety requirements relevant to the role
  • Performing underground mining activities including coal extraction using both longwall and continuous miners, primary and secondary support and other supporting activities using a range of mining equipment in order for the mine to safely meet production goals
  • Participating in site continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in underground coal mining
  • Current competencies for the operation of a variety of underground mining equipment, mobile equipment and for carrying out support activities
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Commitment to high performance standards
  • Relevent tickets (Bolter, Shuttle Car, Loader, Drift runner)

Nice to have

Experience in both Development and Longwall mining operations
