Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Boiler making / Metal Fabrication
Experience working in underground mining or heavy industrial environments
Proficiency in MMA and MIG welding and fabrication
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
Current manual driver's license (HR/MC desirable)
National Police Clearance is required prior to background checks commencing
Strong commitment to safety and hazard management in underground environments
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to maintenance

Job Responsibility

Fabricate, weld, and install steel structures, piping, and equipment in underground mining environments
Maintain and repair paste reticulation systems
Conduct scheduled maintenance, inspections, and breakdown repairs on underground fixed plant
Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and specifications
Carry out welding, cutting, and fabrication to support underground operations
Identify and report hazards, defects, or potential failures to supervisors in a timely manner
Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations teams to minimise downtime and maximise production
Actively participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments
Perform other duties as directed by the Pastefill Coordinator
