Job Description:

CSIRO Agriculture and Food is helping to improve productivity, profitability, and sustainability in cropping, livestock production, aquaculture, horticulture, and the food industry. Students will participate in the 11-week Undergraduate Vacation Studentship Program during the Australian summer holidays, working on real projects while gaining hands-on research experience and engaging with leading CSIRO researchers in areas such as science, technology, or related disciplines.

Job Responsibility:

Work on a real project in science, technology or a related field such as science communication.
Participate in a structured program including workshops, discussion panels, and a final symposium to present project results.

Requirements:

To be enrolled in an undergraduate degree at an Australian university
Have completed at least 2 years of a (full-time equivalent) undergraduate course prior to commencing your placement.
An average academic record of a credit or higher
An interest in pursuing a research career in science or technology, or a career in a related discipline.
The ability to undertake a full-time placement for 8-12 weeks over the university summer vacation period.
The position is only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people with Australian Citizenship.
The successful applicant will be required to provide evidence to confirm that they are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
