Job Description

First American’s Internship Program is a full-time, 10–12 week paid internship from June – August 2026 which can be worked from an office or remotely, depending on the job opportunity. As a First American Intern you will work in a program designed to help you gain experience and develop the technical, professional and interpersonal skills that will be invaluable throughout your career. As a First American Intern you will gain exposure to working in a corporate environment within the Financial/Title Industry – balanced with intern-specific activities, executive level presentations and networking opportunities – while under the guidance of a manager and/or mentor. Undergraduate students are assigned significant work assignments to support specific business functions including Marketing, Human Resources, Technology, Accounting and Finance. The Public Affairs Intern will support First American’s companywide community engagement and government affairs initiatives. The intern will assist with communications, research, and administrative tasks that help drive meaningful community impact and support the company’s legislative goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in community relations, public affairs, or government affairs work to gain real-world experience in a collaborative and mission driven environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Support planning and execution of community outreach events and volunteer initiatives
  • Assist with coordinating partnerships with nonprofits and local organizations
  • Help track and organize donations, sponsorship requests, and volunteer activities
  • Contribute to internal and external communications, including newsletters and social content
  • Conduct research on community needs, trends, and potential partnership opportunities
  • Provide general administrative support to the Public Affairs team as needed

Requirements

  • Junior or senior‑level student currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program (preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable engaging with employees, community partners, and nonprofit organizations
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
