Job Description:

This position is responsible for managing the daily undergraduate admissions operation activities and business processes for a designated population. This includes serving as an admissions specialist responsible for representing the University and for gathering facts regarding applicants, analyzing credentials and students’ academic potential, reaching logical conclusions regarding admissibility, and records/database management.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of effective customer service and problem-solving techniques
  • Working knowledge of PC-related software to include Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with the public, as well as interpret, explain, and apply a variety of policies, regulations, and standards
  • Experience with standard organizational processes used in a professional setting (such as electronic file keeping, document retention, etc.)

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of application/evaluation processing operations
  • Experience with Target X/Salesforce
  • Experience with Banner (a student information system)
  • Experience working in an admissions office or higher education in general
  • Knowledge of admissions, secondary education, and higher education
