Position involves performing ultrasound procedures, ensuring patient safety, maintaining records, and staying current with skills in a hospital/clinical setting.
Job Responsibility:
Positioning of patients and proper selection of technical factors and equipment to obtain scans of optimal quality
Securing pertinent history from the patient for each procedure
Compliance with established safety standards
Documentation for department records
Keeping abreast of current ultrasound skills and new developments
Instruction and assistance as required by students or fellow technologists
Requirements:
ARDMS Registered
Possess 3-5 years experience in a hospital or clinical setting
Knowledge and ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures offered at HTMP including vascular studies
Possess high degree of technical knowledge to perform basic ultrasound studies
Able to make diagnostic judgments when scanning and present them to the Radiologist for interpretation
Effective communication skills
CPR Certification
ARDMS Registered in Abdomen and OB/Gyne
RVT or RVT Eligible/Proficient
Ability to adjust to flexible hours at minimum notice as required
Ability to work odd hours (late hours)
Able to work weekends
Ability to perform lifting activities related to patients
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
