Job Responsibility:
Develops, plans, and delivers didactic, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction in Ultrasound Technology in accordance with approved curricula and syllabi
Evaluates student performance through written, oral, and practical assessments
provides timely feedback and remediation as needed
Supervises laboratory activities, scanning competencies, simulations, and clinical or field placements, as applicable
Promotes critical thinking, professional communication, and clinical decision-making skills
Requirements:
Associate's degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Ultrasound Technology, or a closely related field from an institution accredited by a regional accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE)
Current credential in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related specialty (e.g., ARDMS/Ab/Ob, RVT 0r ARRT[S], ), appropriate to the courses taught
Current CPR/BLS certification
Minimum of three (3) years of full-time, post-credential clinical experience as a practicing diagnostic medical sonographer
Experience with multiple ultrasound specialties (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN or Vascular)
Prior didactic and/or clinical teaching experience in an ultrasound education or clinical training environment
Demonstrated contemporary expertise in diagnostic medical sonography, reflecting current clinical practice, technology, and professional standards relevant to assigned teaching areas
Nice to have:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Education, or a related healthcare field
