Job Description:

Join our diverse ultrasound team at Perspectum, Oxford. We are looking for a skilled Ultrasound Sonographer to join our innovative team at Perspectum’s Oxford Community Diagnostic Centre, in partnership with the Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Trust. You'll be responsible for performing and reporting a variety of ultrasound scans, playing a crucial part in patient diagnosis and care. The role offers autonomy and the chance to work in a collaborative, inclusive team that values diversity, excellence, and patient-centred care.

Job Responsibility:

Performing and reporting a variety of ultrasound scans (gynaecological, general, vascular, abdominal, soft tissue, small parts)
Conducting unsupervised scans and providing independent reports
Ensuring patients receive exceptional care
Clear communication about procedures
Making specialist recommendations and suggesting follow-up actions
Being legally and professionally accountable for work
Taking a lead in maintaining high standards of clinical practice

Requirements:

Relevant qualification (PGDip in Medical Ultrasound/DMU or equivalent)
Registered with RCT or HCPC
NHS experience
Ability to work independently and confidently
Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to manage workload efficiently
Motivated and compassionate

Nice to have:

Experience teaching and mentoring junior staff
