Job Responsibility:
Conduct ultrasound examinations including abdominal, pelvic, extremities, and other relevant scans
Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures
Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images
Use PACS to review ultrasound images and provide preliminary findings to the physician
Accurately record patient information, imaging results, and technical details in EHR
Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals
Ensure proper functioning and safety of equipment
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control practices
Provide empathetic and professional care to patients
Requirements:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography/Ultrasound Technology from an accredited program
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Sonographer, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting
Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and PACS
Proficiency in performing a variety of ultrasound procedures with accuracy
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as it relates to ultrasound imaging
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care
