The Client are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join their dynamic Accounts pod team. This role is ideal for someone with solid accounting knowledge, a proactive mindset, and a passion for mentoring junior staff. You will play a key role in preparing financial statements using CaseWare, reviewing work prepared by junior team members, and contributing to process improvements through innovative thinking.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare financial statements and working papers using CaseWare
  • Apply strong technical accounting knowledge to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on work prepared by junior staff
  • Supervise and support junior team members in their development
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to team efficiency
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of accounts
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role
  • Proficiency in CaseWare and other accounting software
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems creatively
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • Experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA)

Nice to have:

Experience in UK GAAP & FRS102 is advantageous
